English as a Second Language ( ESL)

Teachers InformationCentreville UMC provides English as a Second Language classes for nearly 200 adults in our community who do not consider English their first language.  Teachers do not need to speak another language. No experience is necessary and training materials are provided. Teachers commit to teaching one two hour class once a week, either on a Tuesday or Thursday for the 12 week session. Please contact Pastor Michelle (mhchaney@centreville-umc.org) if you are able to serve as a teacher one or two days a week.

Student Information: English as a Second Language teaches adult students how to read, write and communicate in the English language. All nationalities are welcome. Childcare is provided with prior registration for the evening sessions. Space is limited.
