The Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter helps assist families experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing as quickly as possible while continuing to provide services to families once they are housed. The model is based on the premise that families respond better to services when they are in their own homes, as compared to in shelters. Once the family is housed, community case management services are then specifically tailored to each family’s needs to help them maintain stable housing.
