Centreville UMC has always sought to provide God’s love for the unspoken and ignored. It is a vital part of sharing God’s love in the world to speak for those who are not heard. Serve the community by promoting peace, protecting life and ensuring justice for all of God’s creation.
The Centreville Immigration Forum (CIF) is a community volunteer group in Centreville, Virginia. The Forum discusses immigration and diversity in the Centreville area, and works to build strong community through bringing neighbors together. The Forum aims to improve the health and safety of all residents in the Centreville area. The Forum opened the Centreville Labor Resource Center (CLRC), a worker center in 2011.
GRACE Ministries is a community outreach ministry that serves low-income immigrant families in the local community. On the second Saturday of each month, low-income families are able to receive food purchased by CUMC as well as food made available through the USDA.
English as a Second Language teaches adult students how to read, write and communicate in the English language. Serve during the classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings in the Spring and Fall as a teacher or by offering hospitality to the ESL students.
Helping homeless people means feeding, caring, clothing and educating them so they can get employed and back on their feet. Centreville UMC partners with the Lamb Center by donating needed food, clothing, and other supplies throughout the year.
