Centreville UMC is pleased to introduce a new Sunday worship schedule beginning on September 8, 2019. Below is all you need to know in planning your worship experience:
- 8:00 AM Traditional Worship– will be a traditional worship service like the current 8:15 AM service.
- 9:15 AM Traditional Worship and Children's Church – will be a traditional service like the current 9:30 AM service, but there will not be any Sunday school during this service. Children will start in the worship service, but then at some point prior to the sermon, those age 3 to 2nd Grade will be excused to children’s church. In addition, there will be an adult small group that meets during this time for those who attend the 8:00 AM service and other adults who might be interested to provide them with discipleship opportunities without having to wait until 10:15 AM.
- 10:15 AM Discipleship Hour and Connect Time – This hour will be set aside for our Discipleship Hour and Connect Time. It will provide the opportunity for everyone who desires to attend Sunday school with classes for children and youth, as well as adults. Spiritual Formation is looking to expand the number of adult classes that meet regularly and will be offering greater opportunities for spiritual growth for all adults starting this fall. Small groups that meet at other times during the week may also decide to meet during this time. We will also continue with Connect Time in the Fellowship Hall as a way for us to build relationships within our church family.
- 11:15 Contemporary Worship – will be a contemporary service in the Sanctuary like we have been doing this summer. Those who attend this service will be encouraged to come early at 10:15 AM for the discipleship hour just as those who attend 9:15 AM will be encouraged to stay after their service.
