Women’s Fall Retreat

Reconnect, Renew, Rejoice!

The Women’s Fall Retreat has moved locations!  It will now be held here at CUMC, on October 15 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.   Although the church building is familiar to you, the creative use of the spaces will provide you with a fresh experience!  Think warm and cozy blankets and pillows, pumpkins, fall vines and branches, candles, and twinkly lights.

The retreat planning team has been hard at work, and we are so excited about this retreat!  You will not want to miss out on this opportunity!  Enjoy a day filled with laughter, sharing, worship, and fellowship as we gather together to reconnect and to be encouraged, equipped, and strengthened in our faith.  We will draw inspiration from John chapter 15, leaning into verses such as.  “I am the vine, you are the branches.  Those who abide in Me and I in them bear much fruit.”

During the retreat, there will be time to experience new ways to pray (including praying in color) and to enjoy some quiet time with God during a meditative candle-lit walk. We will take communion together and enjoy guitar music provided by Praise Band member Susie Theobald during our worship time.  We will also get a little crafty, and we promise you will love the final product you get to take home with you!  A catered lunch will be provided, along with coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day.

The cost of the retreat is $20, and financial assistance is available.  Contact Pastor Geitra Mickelson for questions, at gmickelson@centreville-umc.org.   The deadline for registration is Sunday, October 9.
