The darkness didn’t last long because a red glow began to wash over the wise men. It was Santa’s red nosed reindeer! Rudolph was surprised to see them. “I would have thought you three would be in Bethlehem by now!” he said. “Bethlehem?” asked Gaspar. “Yes, where Jesus Christ will be born.” said the reindeer. “Where are we now?” asked Balthasar. “Why, the North Pole!” said Rudolph, “You are about as far away as you can be.” The wise men turned around. Would they make it in time? Even wise men have to repent sometimes!
Today's Quote: “Repentance is not an emotion. It is not feeling sorry for your sins. It is a decision. It is deciding that you have been wrong in supposing that you could manage your own life and be your own god; it is deciding that you were wrong in thinking that you had, or could get, the strength, education and training to make it on your own; it is deciding that you have been told a pack of lies about yourself and your neighbors and your world. And it is deciding that God in Jesus Christ is telling you the truth.” (Eugene Peterson)
Today's Microchallenge: Ask yourself where you are. Is it where you are supposed to be? Where you want to be? Are there decisions you need to make? Say a prayer, asking God for guidance.
