Worship with Us - Worship Times and Styles

We have two worship services on Sunday mornings:

The 9:30 AM Traditional service is rooted in Methodist liturgy with uplifting hymns and vocal and handbell choirs led on the organ and piano.  Holy communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month.

The 11:00 AM Relaxed Traditional service offers a variety of joyful worship experiences revealing the timeless promises of our faith as well as the hopes and needs of today.  The music styles are diverse, and communion is offered weekly.

Nursery care, as well as Kids Quest, our children's Sunday School program, are offered during both worship services.

Our Current Sermon Series

Sunday we are starting our Advent sermon series - Sounds of the Season. Listen closely and you will notice the sounds of the season that have already begun, bringing up memories of Christmases past.  Music has always helped to tell the story of Christmas.  This year we are counting down the top Christmas songs of all time.  We will use these familiar songs to help us unwrap the story that leads us into the celebration of Christmas.  You’re invited to worship and sing with us this Advent season.

Our Most Recent Sermon

Last Sunday we talked about pride vs humility in this final Sunday of our Inflation sermon series.

Our Wandering Wise Men Devotions

December 1

Today is the first day of our Wandering Wise Men devotion series, which runs from December 1 - January 6.  Gaspar, Balthasar, and Melchior are about to embark on a journey (around Centreville United Methodist Church and the surrounding area) in search of the King whose star they see in the night sky.  Each day in our devotion series will give the reader a peek into the adventurous lives of our bumbling trio, as they encounter obstacles and hopefully learn a thing or two.  To provide a deeper Advent experience for the reader, we are also including a relevant quote, as well as a question or suggested action (a microchallenge).

Read today's devotion here.
