Will Montgomery has served in the Virginia Annual Conference for 23 years. He was ordained a Deacon in 1996 and an Elder in 1999. He began as an associate pastor at Heritage United Methodist Church in the Lynchburg District before serving Zion United Methodist Church on the Charlottesville District and Trinity United Methodist Church in Smithfield, Virginia. In 2011, Will returned to Heritage as the lead pastor and then was appointed in June 2016 to Centreville.
Will grew up in Farmville, Virginia, in a family of educators. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1993 and from Duke Divinity School in 1996. That same year he married Elizabeth, and they have been married for 23 years. Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse working in ICU at INOVA Fairfax. They have three children: Matthew 19, Maggie 16, and Lucy 14.
