Facilities Manager

Steve was born and reared in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and survived 16 years of Catholic education. The last four years were spent at Loyola College (now University) in Baltimore, Maryland under the progressively liberal Jesuits where he earned his degree in Physics and Engineering Sciences.
Steve worked at Washington Gas for 22 years, primarily in the Gas Supply division. After stints at NOVEC Energy Solutions and PEPCO Energy Services where he was a Natural gas commodities trader, Steve retired and began volunteering on a regular basis at CUMC. This ultimately led to his full time position as the Director of Facilities.
Steve continues to serve where needed and has been a long term participant in Sneedville, Rebuilding Together, Habitat for Humanity, Early Response Team (ERT), Hypothermia Shelter and other missions areas.
Steve’s life took at dramatic upturn when he met, married Barb and was re-introduced to the love of Jesus as reflected by the CUMC community of faith. Steve and Barb were married at CUMC in 1990 (Becky Jackson played the organ!), live in Centreville, have three children and five grandchildren.
