Pentecost Under the Big Top

Pentecost Sunday was a spectacle — in the best way!
This past Sunday, our church truly went “Under the Big Top” as we celebrated Pentecost with joy, color, and community. In his sermon, Pastor Matthew reminded us that, much like in a circus where people gather under the big tent to showcase their unique talents and amaze the audience, the church is also a place where diverse gifts come together to inspire and uplift. This was especially true on the day of Pentecost, when the church was powerfully united and transformed.
During worship we also welcomed Kay Osborn, one of our faithful online worshipers, as a new member of CUMC. In addition, we had the privilege of commissioning our Sneedville mission team as they prepare to serve, and we gave a warm welcome to our new Director of Youth Ministry, David Raich!
After worship, the fun continued with popcorn, cotton candy, and games — a celebration for all ages!
What a day to be the church — full of the Spirit, full of joy, and full of purpose.
