We are filled with joy and gratitude as we celebrate a significant milestone for our own Rev. Phil Mohr, who was ordained in June as a deacon in full connection in the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church!
Ordination as a deacon is a lifelong calling to ministries of Word, service, compassion, and justice. Deacons serve both within the church and beyond its walls, helping connect the congregation with the needs of the world and equipping the church to share Christ's love through action and service.
For years, we have witnessed Phil faithfully living out this calling through his leadership in mission and outreach ministries, his compassionate service to others, and his commitment to helping Centreville UMC engage in meaningful ministry beyond our building. His ordination recognizes and affirms the gifts and calling that have already blessed our church and community in countless ways.
