Lenten Devotion Day 16 – Lectio Divina

March 11

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.

Media: Lectio Divina is one of many methods with which to study and meditate on God’s Word using four simple questions.

Response:  Pick a short scripture passage that is less familiar to you, and use the Lectio Divina method of sacred reading to study and meditate on it.  What does the text say?  What does the text say to me? What do I want to say to God about this text?  What difference will this text make in my life?

Prayer Focus:  Allowing ourselves to be transformed by God’s Word.
